Andrea Young has provided management services for 25 years to various businesses she has founded and managed. She is currently winding down her tenure as CFO of American Aerogel, an advanced materials start-up company in New York.

She served as president of Aspen Public Radio from 1997-2001 and as chairman of the board from 2001-2002. Between 1995 and 2004, Andrea was a volunteer DJ at the station, hosting Jazz on a Wednesday Evening and creating and hosting the oldies show Aspen Hot Wax. She also produced various news features and served as a host during pledge drives. Andrea currently serves on NPR's President's Council.

She and her husband Dennis have been residents of Aspen for over 20 years.
