Lyrically Speaking with David Crosby

Launched in 2006 to critical acclaim, Lyrically Speaking is an interview/concert series celebrating songwriters and their lyrics. The program explores the written word expressed through music by bringing songwriters to Aspen to discuss and perform their lyrical creations. Rock legend David Crosby appeared at Belly Up Aspen on April 8, 2008.

Ishmael Beah and Binyavanga Wainaina were at the Wheeler Opera House on February 22, 2008, as part of the Aspen Writers' Foundation's Winter Words series. Beah is the best-selling author of A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier. Wainaina is a Kenyan author, journalist and winner of the Caine Prize for African Writing for his short story Discovering Home.
