Nikki Boxer
Creative Director
Born and raised in New England, Nikki received her music degree in vocal performance from Tulane University in New Orleans. Upon graduation, she spent a summer at The Santa Fe Opera, where she met future husband, Jonathan Boxer. After honeymooning in Aspen in 2003, they knew their two-year stint in the Boston/Cambridge area was over. They packed up and headed West six months later.
After moving to the Valley, Nikki pursued her opera career full-time, traveling frequently and freelancing as a web designer before finally settling down, quite happily, at Aspen Public Radio.
As creative director, Nikki hosts Classical Music from Aspen each weekday and is responsible for the station's classical music programming, web development and graphic design, as well the occasional random act of IT.
Nikki lives in Basalt with her husband Jon and her (female) dog Henry, one of the station's many canine mascots. Nikki can be seen and heard on the stages of Aspen with various groups, including Aspen Community Theatre and Theatre Aspen.
