Sponsorships
Aspen Public Radio has long depended on the kindness of its listeners and underwriters to provide the station with a significant portion of its operating expenses. At the same time, the station recognizes that it has the means to give back to the community by sharing its most valuable resource – air time – with other area non-profit organizations.
In 2008, Aspen Public Radio is donating over $300,000 in on-air underwriting to a wide variety of organizations, including those that might otherwise have a difficult time affording traditional methods of spreading the word about their missions and events.
If you’re interested in having your non-profit organization sponsored on Aspen Public Radio, please contact station manager Meredith Carroll at meredith@kajx.org.

In recognition of the remarkable support the station has received from the community over the past 20+ years, Aspen Public Radio has established scholarships for students in the Aspen and Roaring Fork School Districts. Each spring, one high school senior from each district who plans on studying broadcast journalism and/or communications in college will be awarded a scholarship. For more information on the scholarships, please contact operations coordinator Christy Hunter at christy@kajx.org.
