Public Service Announcements
Aspen Public Radio is pleased to read public service announcements (PSAs) live on the air throughout the week. The following are guidelines for submitting PSAs for consideration on Aspen Public Radio:
  • Please submit PSAs at least six weeks prior to an event. PSA slots on Aspen Public Radio are limited and tend to fill up quickly, therefore a PSA submitted later rather than sooner has less of a chance of making it on the air.
  • Please e-mail PSA submissions to psa@kajx.org. No faxes or phone calls, please.
  • Please submit PSAs either in the body of an e-mail (preferred) or as an attached Word document. No PDFs, please.
  • Please include the following information in the PSA: the date, time, location and cost (if any) of the event, plus a phone number OR web site (only one will be read on the air) where tickets may be purchased, reservations may be made and/or more information may be found. Please include information on who or what will receive proceeds from an event.
  • The description of the event should be as brief as possible, as PSAs read on the air are 15-20 seconds long, and included in that time limit is all of the information listed above.
  • PSAs given top priority are those from local non-profits organizations, events benefiting local non-profit organizations, or events free of charge that in some way benefit the local community at large.
  • There is no charge for PSAs on Aspen Public Radio, but the station management reserves the right to determine which PSAs are read on the air, and the frequency in which they are read.
